About sliding doors
We offer a wide range of cabins with aluminium sliding doors. Aluminium sliding doors provide numerous benefits that may make them a preferred choice over traditional doors. Their large floor-to-ceiling glass panels allow abundant natural light to flood the interior, creating brighter and more inviting living spaces. They also enable effective ventilation without the need to open a door fully.
Aluminium sliding doors are easy to operate and provide convenient access in and out of the cabin. The expansive glass surfaces offer uninterrupted views of the garden or backyard, helping to connect indoor and outdoor spaces. Last but not least, aluminium sliding doors look great and are valued for functional and practical design.
Palmako sliding door systems
Palmako sliding doors produced at Palmako’s door and window factory are made from maintenance-free powder coated aluminium and designed to withstand humid environments both indoors and outdoors. It features tempered safety glass sourced from Europe and is equipped with a wind lock, double seals, and brushes for enhanced performance. Solid tracks and full-width frames provide added stability.
Palmako aluminium sliding door systems are available in two versions, Slide (single glazing) and Slide Plus (double glazing). Please take the time to familiarize yourself with both systems.

GLASS
- 24 mm toughened energy glass
- 4 mm toughened safety glass - 16 mm gap filled with argon - 4 mm toughened safety glass
- Energy glass with a low-energy coating that reflects the heat back into the room and reduces heating from the sun.
- U-value of the glass 2.7
- Noise cancelling up to 35 dB
LOW ENERGY GLASS
The glass differs from ordinary glass in that it has a special metal coating, technically known as a low-emission coating (Low-E).
Low-energy glass is a type of insulating glass that increases energy efficiency by reducing the transfer of heat or cold through the glass. With this type of glass, the room stays warmer in winter and cooler in summer.

DOOR LEAVES
- Interlocking system with wind lock and double brushes provides a completely tight door.
- Double sealing strips around glass in an aluminium frame.
- Brush strips on both sides of the doors create an tight seal when closed.
- Brush gaskets in the top and bottom rails create a seal between the door leaves.
- Dampers with wind sealing function between each door for gentle and comfortable opening and closing.
- Safety plugs that prevent the doors from being lifted out.
- External ergonomic door handle and cylinder lock on the outside of the corridor door.
- Two internal locks on the inside, one on either side.
